Polcann's Story Bob & Joyce Polcaro began showing CFA registered Persians under the Polcann cattery prefix in 1989. In January of 1990, their first litter was born - all black. Joyce was a great believer in studying pedigrees and seeking the particular look she desired - looking for a beautiful head on a short and cobby body. Feeling expression was most important, she wanted big round eyes, a perfectly rounded tophead, deep break, small ears and eyes set wide apart. The Polcann foundation "twosome" was the male, CH Pironti's C-C Rider of Polcann, and the female, Zeigfeld's Roxy of Polcann, DM. They were a match made in heaven! In their first two litters, they produced 4 black Grands, including female, GC Polcann's Night Wind, DM. She will always hold a very special place in Joyce's heart. She was NAR's 2nd best black in 1990. GC, RW Polcann Rocky Rider was NAR's 8th Best Cat 1991.
